Week 18

Week 18

Baby Size: Sweet Potatoe
Baby Length: 5.6 inches
Baby Weight:  6.7 ounces
What is developing: The baby has become amazingly mobile (at least compared to me), passing the hours yawning, hiccuping, rolling, twisting, kicking, punching, sucking and swallowing. And, baby's finally big enough that I'll be able to feel those movements soon.
How is mommy feeling? Great! Trying to exercise and stay healthy! I have been a busy little bee- painted the great room  (aka: our family room) this past week and Phil is working on some tile work. Before we bought our house we didn't know a lot about keeping up a house but I must say over the last 10 months we have learned so much. He is awesome and does every project with little hestiation... well there is something a lot of complaining sometimes (last week fixing the ceiling in the family room and putting the backer board down for the tile) but I am so proud of him and his great work!!!!
Yummy foods: Trying to eat healthy and exercise as much as possible but not over doing it. Fresh pineapple is on the grocery list every week- and it is usually gone very quickly!
Anything on the calendar? Nothing on the calendar as far as DR appts. Next week we have an ultrasound to find out the gender! YAY!!!

Week 17

Week 17

Baby Size: Onion
Baby Length: 5.1inches
Baby Weight:  5.9 ounces
What is developing: Baby's skeleton is hardening, changing from rubbery cartilage to bone, and fat is finally accumulating around it. The umbilical cord is getting thicker and stronger, and those little fingers and toes are now topped by one-of-a-kind prints.
How is mommy feeling? I am feeling great! I am still tired and trying to get plenty of rest. Bronco is enjoying the late afternoon naps with me!
Yummy foods: Fresh Pineapple- at least it is healthy!
Anything on the calendar? Well we got all the baby furniture together- minus the hutch piece we are still waiting on. I love love love the furniture! Believe it or not there was no cussing or foul language used while putting the beautiful crib together! It was a team effort and of course Bronco wanted to help too! I think he is excited to have a play mate- I think back on my childhood memories and a lot of them include our golden retriever, Hobie. He was an awesome dog and I hope our children have the same experience with Bronco!

So sorry no picture from week 17. Look for this weeks 18th week picture.

Phase 2 of the Baby's Room- Furniture Assembly

So we put all the baby's furniture together on Tuesday (September 18th). I absolutely love the furniture. We are soo happy with everything. The delivery was great and FREE!! I was worried that they would just bring it to the front door and say "have a nice day" but they took it upstairs into the baby's room. I would highly recommend anyone looking for baby furniture to check out JcPenney- great quality, great value, and free shipping/delivery.

Here are some pictures of the new furniture. *Bronco wanted to help too! Next: Phase 3- Paint the walls!!!!

Anything on the calendar? We had our 16 week DR appointment on Monday September 10th! We heard the baby's heart beat and I must say it was the most amazing thing I have ever experienced. We also attending the Baptism class at IHM.
