Ava has made her debut into the world. She was born on Tuesday February 12, 2013 at 5:22pm. She was 7 lbs and 7ozs and was 21 inches long.
I will post the labor story, pictures, our first night at home experience and our lovely 36 hour stay at Children's hospital later.
It has been a rough couple of days but wanted to keep everyone updated.

38 weeks- February 11, 2013 (2 weeks to go!!)
Week 38
Only 2 weeks left!
Baby Size: Pumpkin
Baby Length: 19 inches
Baby Weight: 6.2 lbs
What is developing: She may have about an inch or so of hair already (highly doubt it!). She's slowly shedding that white goo on her skin (called vernix caseosa) but you might see some of it at birth.
How is mommy feeling?

Only 2 weeks left!

Baby Weight: 6.2 lbs

37 weeks- February 4, 2013 (3 weeks to go!!)

Only 3 weeks left!
Baby Size: Winter Melon
Baby Length: 18.5 inches
Baby Weight: 5.9 lbs
What is developing: She's practicing some skills: inhaling, exhaling, sucking, gripping and blinking. She's getting her first sticky poop (called meconium) ready for her first diaper. Daddy can't wait to change it! :)
How is mommy feeling? I am still feeling great however sleeping is becoming much more a task than a hobby!
Yummy foods: Nothing in particular
Anything on the calendar? This week have our 37 week appointment and this is my last week working. I am taking 6 months off work to spend time with Miss. Ava! I will miss my work and my friends at work but the time with my daughter is priceless.

Week 36- January 28, 2013 (4 weeks to go!!!)
Week 36 (only 4 weeks left!)
Baby Size: Honeydew
Baby Length: around 18.3 inches
Baby Weight: around 5.4 lbs
What is developing: She's getting closer and closer to being able to breathe on her own. Her skin is getting smooth and soft and her gums are rigid. Her liver and kidneys are in working order. Circulation and immune systems are basically good to go, too.
How is mommy feeling? I am still feeling great! My belly keeps getting bigger and bigger!

Anything on the calendar? We have our 36 week appointment tomorrow (1/29)!

What is developing: Her hearing is fully developed, and her responds best to high-pitched noises.
How is mommy feeling? I am still feeling great however sleeping is becoming much more a task than a hobby! :)

Anything on the calendar? Next week we have our 36 weeks appointment and then we start having appointments every week. I have a baby shower this weekend that I am very much looking forward to. There will be a lot of friends and family I haven't seen in awhile!!!
